Dori Valentine – Leo
Nashville-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Dori Valentine releases “Leo” via PULSE Records. The Amarillo, Texas native is currently working on her debut album with legendary producer Tony Berg, whose credits include classic albums across the indie landscape.
“Leo” is a poignant account of longing for an unfulfilled existence—meeting someone and the feeling of loneliness that can’t be wiped away. The repeated lyrics “Hey Leo, if only you were here” convey a sadness that time cannot heal, yet a desperate desire to feel a presence nearby. Away from the indifferent hustle and bustle around them, Valentine’s voice reflects on someone she may never have known, creating an emotional sound that’s both intimate and deeply moving.
